Backend Golang Developer

We are seeking a talented and motivated Software Engineer with expertise in services development to join our innovative team. The ideal candidate will excel in developing robust and scalable cloud-native applications, possess strong problem-solving skills, and demonstrate the ability to deliver high-quality software solutions. This role requires a collaborative mindset, strong technical skills, and a passion for innovation and excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain services using GoLang and other modern programming languages.
- Design and implement data structures using JSON and binary data formats.
- Work with both NoSQL and relational databases to manage and optimize data.
- Build cloud-native applications following 12-factor application principles.
- Deliver production-level software with attention to performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage and complete project deliverables.
- Apply agile development methodologies to ensure iterative and incremental progress.
- Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels, including visual presentations.
- Foster collaboration across internal and external teams to achieve project goals.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years' experience in a software engineering role.
- Expertise in GoLang and proficiency in working with JSON.
- Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures and principles.
- Proven ability to deliver production-grade software and manage end-to-end projects.
- Familiarity with agile development, rapid application development, and project management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated, accountable, and committed to high standards of responsibility.
Preferred
- Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
- Strong experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including services such as Lambda, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and tools, and the ability to automate deployments using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef/Puppet.
- Familiarity with version control systems like GitHub and experience in managing projects within these systems.
- Expertise in automated testing, performance tools, and agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
- Understanding of software development within a DevOps culture.
Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $60 - $70/per hour, depending on experience.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
