Overview

Cypress Creek Renewables (CCR) is actively pursuing a Director of Supply Chain, Operations. This role will serve as the parts and services procurement and inventory leader for Cypress Creek Solutions, the O&M Services division of CCR for our 5GW operating portfolio of solar and battery energy storage projects. The ideal applicant will have a proven track record and deep industry knowledge of suppliers and the challenges associated with procurement of equipment as an Owner and Operator of utility scale and distribution level projects.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a team of supply chain professionals responsible for the entire flow of goods from suppliers to the field, ensuring optimum inventory levels by managing stock, forecasting demand, coordinating with suppliers, and optimizing warehouse operations to maintain timely deliveries to support CCR’s portfolio of solar and storage projects.
  • Support and develop new commercial offerings and revenue opportunities for inventory management of CCR’s third party customers under O&M agreements.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships, with a specific focus on both OEMs and after-market suppliers of solar and storage related equipment and services, including inverters, modules, trackers, combiners, transformers, balance of plant, and third-party suppliers.
  • Formulate and manage supply chain and logistics strategies to optimize cost and delivery schedule risk in support of business goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement/Lean initiatives to streamline business processes related to field support, optimized inventory and spare part strategies, with a specific focus on reducing Return-To-Service time while balancing inventory costs.
  • Standardize best practices and lead negotiations for equipment and/or labor RFPs, MSAs and LTSAs, including all contractual terms and conditions.
  • Coordinate with Development, Engineering, Project Management and Operations for strategic supplier management, spare part strategies, and inventory handover following completion of new development projects.
  • Establish and enforce internal processes and reporting ensuring timely purchasing, managing and delivery of equipment, including managing KPIs and executive level reporting of target metrics.
  • Define and implement staffing models to support corporate and portfolio growth.

Education & Experience Required

  • 8-10 years of supply chain or related field support experience in the renewables, inverter, battery energy storage, or electric utility industry.
  • B.S. in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline.
  • Strong background in process development, ERP systems, and logistics (Salesforce, Netsuite, Sitetracker, etc.).
  • Previous experience implementing or administrating platforms for managing inventory and warehouse logistics strongly preferred
  • Experience leading warranty enforcement and contract negotiations for parts or service agreements associated with field support of operational renewable energy projects.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of CCR, including executives and Investment Committee
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications

Locations: Preference for proximity to the CCR Durham office or remote in or around Albany, NY. Travel to suppliers and projects required as necessary.
