Responsibilities
- Serve as the SAP functional expert in manufacturing processes, quality management, procurement, plant maintenance, materials management, financial accounting, and controlling.
- Act as a liaison between SAP CoE teams (Support & Operations, Functional Domain Experts) and end users to address requirements, issues, and concerns.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to implement improvements.
- Provide support throughout the lifecycle of SAP tickets, including requirement gathering, documentation, and UAT coordination.
- Contribute to SAP Change Advisory Board meetings by prioritizing and managing change requests.
- Ensure consistency between SAP solutions and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
- Develop test plans and oversee quality assurance testing to maintain system integrity.
- Provide business support by troubleshooting SAP system issues, analyzing processes, and recommending solutions.
- Work closely with local IT teams, SAP CoE, and business stakeholders to align SAP solutions with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, company policies, and IT standards.
- Maintain SAP documentation and communicate updates to SAP CoE, external providers, and key users.
- Manage and engage the local key user community through:
- Organizing and delivering training sessions
- Keeping key users informed about central IT updates and SAP CoE initiatives
- Collaborate with business teams and SAP CoE to develop strong business cases for new projects and change requests.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in at least three of the following SAP functional areas: Plant Maintenance (PM), Financial Accounting & Controlling (FI/CO), Procurement (PUR), Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and Materials Management (MM).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum five years of experience with SAP ECC 6.0 or higher.
- Minimum five years of experience in an international IT environment, preferably in manufacturing.
- At least one full SAP implementation lifecycle experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and challenge business stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience working in global, virtual team environments and supporting multiple time zones.
- Fluent in English.
- In-depth SAP technical and functional expertise, including an understanding of SAP ERP architecture and SAP customization.
- Experience with SAP interfaces, external systems, and EDI is a plus.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and execute assignments effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with Lean principles.
- ITIL framework knowledge is preferred.
- Must be highly motivated, capable of working independently and collaboratively as needed.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Onsite presence in Muscle Shoals, AL, is required.
