EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Required:
Microsoft Certified in Server OS / Office 365 certification or a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology.
- Training in PC hardware, networking, and/or server administration.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or Computer Engineering.
REQUIRED:
- 5+ years of Helpdesk/Network experience, preferably in the service industry.
- Strong computer skills and excellent knowledge of PCs, servers, and networking.
- Experience maintaining and upgrading switch infrastructure, firmware, and fiber-optic connectivity across campuses or multiple satellite offices.
- Ability to evaluate network performance, including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency, and implement solutions.
- Expertise in Microsoft O365 Intune (MDM and policies) and Microsoft Defender.
- Experience managing backups and acting as the primary resource for backup systems.
- Knowledge of procurement processes for hardware and software, including invoice submission.
- Ability to manage mobile device plans and train helpdesk staff for support.
- Proficiency in network upgrades and collaborating with vendors to implement enhancements.
- Skilled in maintaining up-to-date documentation of servers, switches, and wireless devices using change management systems.
- Experience with Microsoft cloud-based platforms such as Office 365 and Azure.
- Experienced in Firewall Management and overall network security.
