Position Overview

We're seeking a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist to lead our hourly workforce recruitment initiatives and manage HR systems for our manufacturing facility. This role combines hands-on recruitment, HRIS administration, and workforce development through educational partnerships and apprenticeship programs.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Hiring

  • Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly manufacturing positions, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management
  • Develop and maintain relationships with staffing agencies and temporary workforce providers
  • Create and implement strategies to build talent pipelines for high-volume roles
  • Manage job postings across various platforms and maintain an engaging employer presence
  • Coordinate and conduct job fairs and recruitment events

HRIS Management

  • Process employee status changes, promotions, and position transfers in HRIS
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity
  • Generate reports and analytics to track recruitment metrics and workforce planning
  • Collaborate with Payroll to ensure accurate processing of new hires and position changes

Workforce Development

  • Build and maintain partnerships with technical schools and vocational programs
  • Design and implement apprenticeship programs in collaboration with department managers
  • Coordinate with educational partners to develop training curricula
  • Track and report on apprenticeship program success metrics
  • Represent the company at career fairs and educational institutions

Requirements

Required

  • Must have served in U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves or U.S. National Guard.
  • 3+ years of recruitment experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial settings
  • Experience with HRIS systems and HR data management
  • Strong understanding of employment law and hiring compliance
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred

  • Experience developing apprenticeship or training programs
  • Knowledge of manufacturing operations and skilled trades
  • PHR/SHRM-CP certification
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems
