The Role

As Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for the management of customer service requests as well as remote field service technicians and administrative staff. You will interact frequently with the sales teams and will aid in aligning the customer with troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance services.

Technician Training

What A Day In The Life Is Like:

  • Develop field service technicians to ensure they possess the necessary technical skills and knowledge needed for the field
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to incorporate within the business

Customer Interaction

  • Foster positive relationships with customers by ensuring that field service interactions are professional, courteous, and aligned with company values
  • Collaborate to address and resolve customer concerns promptly

Coaching And Performance Management

  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to field service technicians, promoting continuous improvement in their technical skills, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and set clear goals for individual and team development

Operational Efficiency

  • Implement strategies to improve the overall efficiency of field service operations, including optimizing schedules, routes, and resource allocation
  • Work closely with other departments to streamline processes and enhance cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications And Experience

  • Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
  • Focus on remote technician training and customer interaction
  • At least 3-5 years prior field service, project, construction, or related management experience
  • Strong business and financial acumen
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
