Manager, Engineering Services must possess industry knowledge to oversee a variety of activities and engineering disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engineering standards and procedures to maintain high-quality outcomes
- Ensure the validity of engineering methods used by team
- Regularly communicate with customer
- Work with Asia team to introduce new product ensuring NPI readiness review. Develop detailed plans for products service launch
- Participate in cross-group collaboration and corporate initiatives, aiming to improving corporate competitiveness, service quality, and costs
- Monitor and strive to improve the performance of production processes. Make determinations for equipment, team and training needs. Direct projects that produce new processes
- Create and document plans utilized by cross-functional engineering teams
- Propose engineering budgets
- Present regular updates and progress reports to senior management
- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in technology. Attend conferences and training as required
- Lead and manage the engineering team, promoting a culture of technical excellence and innovation. Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative environment
- Extensive knowledge of engineering principles and procedures
- Proficient knowledge working and leading failure analysis and repair teams
- PCB/PCBA experience in a manufacturing setting is highly preferred
- Experience in project management and team leadership
- Analytical skills for evaluating information carefully and solving complex problems
- Detail-oriented for understanding complex systems and the ability to pay attention to details
- Excellent intrapersonal and collaboration skills
- Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees and schedules simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communications
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of people management experience preferred
