We are seeking to fill a Retail Project Manager role with a candidate having analytical abilities, strong interpersonal skills, and excellent communication capabilities. They must have robust understanding of the Home Improvement retail environment and JDA experience is a must. This role is open to candidates residing in or near the Atlanta, GA, Greenville, SC, or Mooresville, NC areas to support customer relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be responsible for running key customer projects including the coordination and completion of projects on time and within scope. They will oversee all aspects of the projects including setting deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, and summarizing the progress.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Coordinate internal resources for the flawless execution of projects
  • Meet with merchants and retail project leaders to take detailed project briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
  • Be a great partner with all project team members
  • Make recommendations on how to improve project and processes
  • Understand merchant space planning and merchandising goals and complete them
  • Responsible for writing clear and easy-to-implement project instructions for service teams
  • Provide mentorship on planograms to ensure the desired line and pricing structure is achieved
  • Analyze planograms to look for gaps and opportunities to expand the product offering
  • Lead execution of project using customer systems and solve all issues promptly
  • Provide project updates to all internal and external collaborators
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or 5 years equivalent work experience is required
  • Should possess strong analytical skills, be organized, and demonstrate good interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to make meaningful decisions under pressure
  • Good time management skills
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills and excellent business insight
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent external and internal communication skills
  • Have a robust understanding of the Home Improvement retail environment
  • Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
  • 5+ years of project management experience in a sales environment
  • Consistent track record of effectively working with people with differing styles
  • Handles ambiguity by operating optimally, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear
  • Excellent digital literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI
  • JDA experience required
  • 10-20% travel will be required
