Our company is looking for a Research Scientist to join DeVine in a full time capacity. This position will be supporting a government customer, hence only US Citizens may be considered.
DeVine contributes to projects in remote sensing, modeling, and scientific analysis of the Earth’s atmosphere and ocean and land surfaces, as well as astronomy and astrometry. We help our clients test and operate space-based, air-based, subsurface, and land and ocean surface-based sensors. We also collaborate to projects that develop new remote sensing capabilities and new ways of analyzing data.

Required Experience:
- PhD in a Physical Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent degree in related field
- 5+ years’ experience in the field of optical, infrared or radio interferometry and familiarity with astronomy, Space Domain Awareness, or ionospheric remote sensing
- Experience with optics, optical detectors and lasers, designing and performing experiments to test and improve the capabilities of current instruments
- Experience with MATLAB and, preferably, also experience with some combination of FORTRAN, C, C++, Python, and IDL programming languages
- Desired Experience in correcting astronomical data for natural and man-made terrestrial artifacts, as well as experience setting up and testing hardware
- Current Secret Clearance or higher
- Position Type: Full-time, Must be U.S. Citizen

- Compensation: $120K to $145K per year salary range
