Description

This role involves a variety of tasks including processing customer applications, maintaining accurate customer records, and resolving customer inquiries. In addition, the role requires monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate action. This position offers a contract to contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

Provide expedited solutions to resolve customer service outages, minimizing disruptions for the clinical staff.

Record significant data related to production issues and communicate problem summaries to non-subject matter experts.

Analyze problems and implement code changes or scripts to provide contract mitigation if a permanent solution is not immediately available.

Collaborate effectively with the Quality Assurance department to communicate production-related problems and coordinate the associated validation prior to customer deployment.

Investigate and solve customer infrastructure problems such as wired/wireless network, virtualization resources, security, etc. that may be indirectly causing production problems.

Address database underperformance issues and implement changes to resolve them, also make data changes to rectify incorrect input information.

Collaborate with development teams to improve quality and support of production issues.

Undertake engineering tasks that may not be assigned to other engineering teams due to resource constraints, including product development, integration testing, performance profiling, etc.

Lead special projects for customer requests for feature customization or expansion.

Offer on-call support to fix urgent customer issues.

Requirements

Possess strong skills in Customer Service, showing an ability to interact professionally and effectively with clients
Have experience with Payroll systems, demonstrating a solid understanding of financial operations
Demonstrate proficiency in Research methods, to assist in the development and improvement of software
Have knowledge in Database management and operations, to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval
Exhibit skills in Design, to aid in the creation of user-friendly software interfaces
Familiarity with About Time software, enabling accurate tracking of work hours and project management
Experience in Production environments, showing an understanding of the software creation process
Prioritize Security, to protect company and client information from potential breaches
Prove ability to Troubleshoot, to quickly identify and resolve software issues
Have knowledge of Networks, to aid in the development and maintenance of interconnected systems
Hold a degree in Engineering or a related field, to ensure a strong technical foundation
Ability to perform Metric Reporting, to help track and analyze software performance
Familiarity with Clinical Trial Operations, indicating a background in healthcare or pharmaceutical software
Proficiency in Oracle, to manage large amounts of data and complex applications
Experience with Cloud Technologies, to facilitate the development and maintenance of cloud-based software
Ability to work well with Partners, demonstrating teamwork and collaboration skills
Adhere to Best Practices in software engineering, to ensure high-quality software development
Proficient in Java, a widely-used programming language in software engineering
Ability to Maintain Logs, to track changes and updates in software development
Experience with Upgrades, to help improve and modernize existing software
Exhibit strong Customer Support skills, showing an ability to assist users effectively
Prioritize Quality Assurance, to ensure the development of reliable and effective software
Familiarity with Protocols, to ensure the secure and efficient operation of software
Experience leading Special Projects, demonstrating leadership and project management skills
Proficiency in Linux, a popular operating system in software engineering.
