The Amazon Fresh Grocery Communications team is excited to welcome a Communications Program Manager to our dynamic team, based in Arlington, VA.

The Communications PM will help to execute the store communications strategy, owning tactical communications and managing event logistics and tool administration. This candidate will have the opportunity to think critically, act tactically, and write effectively. The successful candidate must be comfortable managing and executing a high volume of communications.

This is an opportunity for someone to learn about our business and retail processes, show an ability to deliver tangible results and strong ownership, and put themselves on a path to becoming a senior program manager.

Candidates must come to this position with strong written and verbal communication skills and excellent attention to detail. To ensure success, candidates should be innovative, organized, and self-motivated with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to spot risks and ask the right questions to ensure field team members can successfully operate based on the information we provide.

Key job responsibilities

  • Write, edit, and publish tactical store communications
  • Use effective and simple messaging, so that communications can be easily understood and acted on by operations associates and Store leadership.
  • Audit recurring tasks and self-service content
  • Work with cross-functional teams to maintain and update the store facing resources and materials.
  • Manage and communicate logistics for field engagement events
  • Support the larger Communications team with project management and execution

A day in the life

As an ideal candidate, you have a passion for writing and associate engagement, and will work backwards from our customers to deliver clear and concise messaging that will educate, engage, and empower our field teams. As a Communications PM, you will publish tactical communications, manage permissions and troubleshoot issues in our primary communications tool, and help coordinate engagement events. You will collaborate with other corporate team members as needed to create unified and consistent messaging for store associates.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of program or project management experience
  • 1+ years of experience supporting and/or owning communications programs
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or a related field
  • Familiarity with content management systems and collaboration tools. Knowledge of Salesforce Experience Cloud is a plus
