Job Description

Under the direction of the System Director for Laboratories, the Laboratory Manager is responsible for managing daily departmental operations at a system hospital site. Supported by supervisory staff, the Laboratory Manager assures that departmental business and quality objectives are met on an ongoing basis. The Laboratory Manager ensures that laboratory operations at each hospital site meet all regulatory and accreditation standards and in implementing standardization and consolidation initiatives. certification in good standing as a Medical Technologies (MT) or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration or Science.
  • Bachelor's of Science Degree in Medical Technology or related science.
  • Current certification in good standing as a Medical Technologies (MT) or equivalent certification
  • Basic Life Support – Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • 7 - 10 years experience required
  • At least 7 years of experience as a medical technologist
  • 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in the management of hospital laboratory operations.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Basic knowledge and working experience with Medical Terminology
