We are seeking a skilled Logistics and Operations Coordinator to join our team and help manage the smooth movement of goods. This role is ideal for someone with 4+ years of experience in logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations. You will assist in transportation planning, warehousing, and inventory management to ensure timely deliveries and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate transportation planning, select carriers, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with freight forwarders and carriers, negotiating better rates and improving logistics efficiency.
  • Assist with the import/export process, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and handling documentation.
  • Help develop strategies to optimize warehouse and inventory operations, using data to forecast demand and streamline processes.
  • Support the logistics team, set goals, provide feedback, and promote team development.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (IT, product development, sales, finance) and external partners (vendors, carriers) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels, adjust stock as needed to minimize storage costs, and avoid excess inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (customs, FDA, USDA, DOT) for imports/exports and product certifications.
  • Track performance and contribute to the improvement of operations using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or operations management, with supervisory experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and compliance for imports/exports.
  • Ability to lead teams, set goals, and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Experience using data to improve processes and reduce costs.
  • Proficient with logistics software (e.g., SAP, Excel) and project management tools (e.g., Monday.com).
