TSS is partnering with a leading custom residential construction firm dedicated to delivering high-quality, tailored homebuilding solutions to recruit a Custom Residential Construction Project Manager for a perm hire. Most of the projects are up and down the I-90 corridor on the west side of WA.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Reporting directly to the owners of the company, this role will oversee multiple projects and lead a growing team. This is a newly created role, requiring a leader who is adaptable, thrives in a dynamic environment, and is comfortable with change management.

The Custom Residential Construction Project Manager will be responsible for managing 8-10 active custom home projects while leading a team of 15 construction professionals. This role requires strong leadership, excellent project execution skills, and the ability to navigate fluid project dynamics with confidence. The ideal candidate is an experienced construction manager with a deep understanding of custom residential builds, project scheduling, budgeting, and client relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of 8-10 concurrent custom home projects from pre-construction through completion.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 15, ensuring productivity, accountability, and high-quality workmanship.

• Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met.

• Monitor project budgets, track costs, and ensure financial objectives are achieved.

• Serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, architects, designers, and subcontractors.

• Implement and refine construction processes to improve efficiency and quality.

• Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to avoid project delays.

• Foster a culture of safety, ensuring all job sites comply with industry regulations and company safety policies.

• Manage change orders, adapting to evolving client requests and project modifications.

• Utilize construction management software and tools to track progress and documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years of experience in custom residential construction project management.

• Proven ability to lead teams of 10+ members in a high-paced construction environment.

• Strong knowledge of custom homebuilding processes, materials, and high-end finishes.

• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate project ambiguity.

• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or similar) and Google Drive.

• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and cost tracking.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

• Highly adaptable and open to change management initiatives.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$130,000yr DOE. Benefits offered: Health Benefits, PTO, mileage reimbursement/fuel stipend.
