We are an in-town residential builder of custom homes, ADUs, and large scale renovations. Our projects are mostly concentrated in East Atlanta neighborhoods although we do travel throughout most of the metro Atlanta area.

Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality and safety standards. This role requires excellent leadership, problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of construction processes and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1 Project Planning and Management:

  • Ensure correct material takeoffs and orders are in place.
  • Manage project schedules using project management software.

2 Team Coordination:

  • Lead and coordinate project teams, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Assign tasks, set performance expectations, and monitor progress.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to review progress and address issues.

3 Budget and Cost Control:

  • Manage project budgets and cost estimates.
  • Track expenses and ensure projects remain within financial constraints.
  • Approve invoices and manage financial reporting.

4 Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
  • Mitigate project risks and implement contingency plans.

5 Communication and Reporting:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
  • Provide regular updates and progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including contracts, permits, and schedules.

6 Problem-Solving:

  • Proactively identify and resolve project challenges and delays.
  • Handle change orders and adapt project plans as necessary.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • 1-3 years of experience as a Construction Project Manager or in a similar role.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects.

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Buildxact, Buildertrend)
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, contracts, and technical drawings.
