This candidate will be under the direction of the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and is responsible for managing a complex infrastructure landscape, including multiple ds, networks, servers, storage systems, cloud and related technologies.

Job Description:

Our client is hiring an experienced Digital Infrastructure Director as its direct, W2 salaried employee.

You will:

  • Frequent contacts with N.O. persons potentially across all areas of ministry and/or of substantially higher rank on matters requiring explanation, discussion, and approval
  • Frequent contacts with persons outside the N.O. to carry out organizations policies and programs
  • Frequent contacts of a significant nature requiring advanced knowledge of N.O. policies, plus an ability to understand, communicate and persuade others to obtain willing acceptance, consent or action; sets good examples for others, good role model
  • Frequently involves explanation of detailed information in verbal and written form and likely requires giving presentations

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certification specific to the position required, if applicable to position.
  • 5 years of experience in a related position
  • 3 years of experience within the C&MA (ordination, licensure, or certification is not required)
  • Experience and History Developing multi-year (5 year) Infrastructure and Operations strategic plans.
  • 5+ years - Extensive experience in IT infrastructure management, including leadership roles.
  • Proven track record in managing global teams and medium to large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with cloud computing, AI, IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS technologies.
  • Technical migration of computing infrastructure to different geographies
  • Proven understanding of network infrastructure, data centers, cybersecurity and hybrid and cloud architecture.
  • Proficiency in hyper-converged technologies and co-tenancy solutions.
  • Knowledge of backup and recovery technologies and disaster recovery planning.
  • Experience with Dev/Sec/Ops principles, CI/CD, and automation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and guide teams.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans and roadmaps.
  • Proactive approach to identifying and implementing innovative solutions to improve infrastructure performance and efficiency.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Ability to manage and lead change within the organization, especially in transitioning to new technologies and processes.
  • Strong skills in managing relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, to ensure alignment and support for infrastructure initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Possesses the ability to utilize computerized software applications and operate various office equipment such as telephone, computer, printer, copier, fax, and calculator.
  • Ability to stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience in vendor management and contract negotiation.
  • Commitment to ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and security policies.
  • Experience solving complex problems or technology planning and developing programs and procedures, is a resource to others in the resolution of complex problems and issues.
  • Experience with onshore and offshore contract management.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and frameworks such as COBIT, ITSM, ITIL, CIS/NIST/ISO.
  • In-depth understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to ensure the security of digital infrastructure.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with IT infrastructure.
  • Willingness and experience in serving people and the community; must have a servant s heart.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Related experience in a nonprofit, religious organization
  • Master s degree in Business Administration
