Role Description: Oracle Cloud EPM Support Engineer

Location: Remote

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST

Employment Type: Contract 6+mos

Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) Support Engineer to join our Managed Services team.

In this role, you will provide continuous support and guidance to our clients by evaluating and understanding the client's unique EPM business processes and designs and using your prior knowledge and expertise to deliver exceptional ongoing support by to promptly addressing user and/or system issues to assist with resolution and improvements. This position requires the ability to analyze the current state of the system, including educating the client on new Oracle releases and recommending improvements, in addition to being able to identify any opportunities for user self-service, automation and AI enhancements within the environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business processes, financial reporting needs, and strategic goals. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on Oracle EPM capabilities.
  • System Configuration and Customization:
  • Configure and customize Oracle EPM applications to meet client-specific requirements.
  • Implement changes in response to evolving business needs, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Remediate data load issues. Application/tech stack issue troubleshooting and remediation.
  • Process end-user security provisioning requests.
  • Perform metadata update requests.
  • Create financial reports, books, batches.
  • Perform application updates (grids, forms, rules, rulesets).
  • Provide advanced assistance to named customer functional superusers.
  • New logic methodology (I.e., top-down vs bottoms up budget) business rules, rulesets
  • New custom dimensions or minor metadata modifications with downstream impacts
  • Performance Tuning for Calculations, no major re-design
  • Managed Services Operations: Contribute to the day-to-day operations of Oracle EPM within a managed services framework. Adhere to service level agreements (SLAs) and participate in continuous service improvement initiatives.
  • Issue Resolution and Support:
    • Provide timely support for Oracle EPM-related issues, collaborating with team members to resolve problems efficiently.
    • Follow best practices for incident and problem management.
  • Optimization and Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for system optimization and efficiency gains within Oracle EPM.
    • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the overall quality of managed services.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed documentation for system configurations, customizations, and client-specific processes.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including technical support, development, and project management teams.
    • Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, issues, and resolutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in finance, Business, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of proven experience with Oracle EPM, including implementation and support.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, and consolidation processes.
  • Prior experience working with hi-tech, local government, banking, industries preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with managed services operations and adherence to SLAs.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP

  • Preferred: Oracle Narrative Reporting Cloud Service (NRCS)
  • Preferred: Oracle Tax Reporting Cloud Service (TRCS)
