Oracle Forms Developer Contract: 6-12 months

Location: Austin, Texas (Hybrid)

Must already be local or willing to work within specified location.

We are looking for a skilled Oracle Forms Developer to join a dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing requirements, developing both server-side and client-side software, and ensuring secure data handling across multiple platforms. You will also provide technical leadership, troubleshooting legacy systems, and contributing to database design and optimization efforts.

Qualifications and Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in application development with a strong focus on Oracle technologies (Oracle Forms, Oracle Reports, Oracle Fusion Middleware).
  • 3+ years of experience in database development and management, including working with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and Oracle databases.
  • Proven experience in writing scripts to migrate objects and data across different databases.
  • Strong proficiency in developing and maintaining PL/SQL, Web PL/SQL, functions, procedures, and packages.
  • Experience with database security, version control, and software development best practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex legacy applications and reverse-engineer them when necessary.
  • Experience in database design, query optimization, and providing after-hours support.
  • Familiarity with project management processes and working independently in a large team environment.

  • Assist in migrating solutions to alternative technologies and converting Oracle Reports to other platforms.
  • Support the project management process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and scope.
  • Provide after-hours support for application maintenance and upgrades, offering emergency troubleshooting as needed.
