WHAT WE WANT
FriendFinder Network is seeking an experienced Vice President of IT Operations to lead and transform our technology infrastructure and operations. This strategic leadership position will be instrumental in shaping our technological future while ensuring operational excellence across all IT functions. This is a remote position, open to US-based candidates who are authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Develop and execute the long-term technology operations strategy, aligning infrastructure and systems with company objectives
- Drive innovation and modernization initiatives while maintaining operational stability
- Provide executive-level guidance on technology decisions and investments Regular engagement with executive management on strategic planning and execution
Team Leadership & Management
- Lead an IT organization consisting of 20 full-time employees plus contractors, currently structured with six direct-report managers overseeing key operational functions including:
- Network Operations and Infrastructure
- DevOps Practices and Automation
- Linux Systems Administration
- Database Administration and Management
- System Tools Development and Administration
- Information Security and Compliance
- Corporate IT Support
- Storage Systems Management
- Technology Procurement and Vendor Management
- Evaluate and optimize the organizational structure to ensure efficient delivery of IT services
- Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement across all technology functions
- Drive collaboration and alignment between technical teams while maintaining clear ownership and accountability
- Oversee professional development and growth opportunities for both managers and individual contributors
- Ensure effective resource allocation and cross-functional collaboration between teams
Operational Excellence
- Direct the management of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure and operations
- Establish and maintain best practices for IT service delivery and support
- Lead incident response and crisis management for critical technology issues
- Implement and optimize processes for maximum operational efficiency
- Oversee technology change management and implementation of new systems
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as a key technology leader and advisor to the executive team
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal departments and external partners
- Provide regular updates and reporting on technology operations, projects, and KPIs
- Lead technology-related communications and change management initiatives
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Experience & Education
- Bachelor's degree
- 10+ years of technology management experience
- Proven track record of leading large-scale IT operations and teams
- Extensive experience in infrastructure management and systems administration
- Strong background in technology strategy development and execution
Technical Knowledge
- Deep understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure spanning network operations, system administration, and storage systems
- Proven experience with DevOps practices, Linux environments, and database administration
- Strong background in information security and compliance requirements
- Experience with internal tools development and process automation
- Knowledge of IT service management frameworks and procurement best practices
- Familiarity with Perl programming language is advantageous

- Track record of successful change management and team development

Reporting Structure
- Reports directly to the CEO or designated executive leadership member
- Serves as a member of the senior leadership team
Location & Work Environment
- Full-time remote position
- Must be based in the United States

Salary Range: $250,000 to 275,000
