
Senior ColdFusion Developer
The Software Developer will support the migration of legacy Cold Fusion applications to cloud. The selected Candidate will be required to comply with data security policy. This developer shall be responsible for executing the completion of an agency project to upgrade and migrate internally and externally available Adobe ColdFusion v.2009 applications to ColdFusion v.2021 or later. This work shall entail ensuring migration of applications to lower environments and the production environment. This will require ensuring version control of the applications and syncing data connections between the respective environments. Regular change management and security scan processes will be observed for this effort. Migration will require some code refactorization to remediate deprecated code due to version upgrade and potential security vulnerabilities. The developer shall partner with a small agency project team to carry out this work. All development work shall be finally approved by application development leadership to ensure consistent use of coding and security standards and long-term application support. Candidates must understand project organization and methodology within Agile (Scrum) organizations. Developer must understand business and technical objectives of a project and work closely with multiple key project stakeholders. They shall contribute to project plans, status reports, and other related project artifacts, as necessary. They shall provide technical documentation, communication, and technical support, as necessary. Candidates must be able to comprehend and communicate complex technical designs and implementations as well as complex business processes. They shall participate in the development and execution of presentations as required to leadership and oversight entities.
Designs, develops, updates, and migrates ColdFusion applications including but not limited to:
Configuring ColdFusion web applications using IIS Web Server.
Using ColdFusion Admin console.
Enabling different levels of logging options in ColdFusion.
Knowledge of deprecated functionality and changes to functionality from CF9 to CF21
Conducts testing to verify logic and ensure compliance with development standards and system/business requirements.
Completes complex project work, including troubleshooting and correcting coding errors/issues.
Provides status updates on work assignments and any technical issues that present risk to project timeline as required by selected project framework.
Has experience in Software Development Life Cycle.
Ability to work in an agile software development environment.
