RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a skilled and experienced Workplace Services Engineer in Valencia, CA.
Summary:
This role will involve deploying software, managing updates, conducting security assessments, and ensuring the overall health and security of our IT environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and securing IT infrastructure, with expertise in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Qualys.
Key Responsibilities:
* Software Deployment and Management: Utilize SCCM to deploy software, updates, and patches across the organization's network, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and compliant with security standards
* System Configuration and Management: Configure and manage SCCM to maintain and optimize the performance of IT systems, including workstations, servers, and mobile devices
* Security Assessments: Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments using Qualys to identify and address potential threats and vulnerabilities
* Patch Management: Implement and manage patch management processes to ensure all systems are protected against known vulnerabilities
* Incident Response: Respond to and resolve IT incidents and security breaches, working closely with the IT team to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences
* Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, configurations, and security assessments; Generate reports on system performance and security status for management review
* Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other IT team members to support various IT projects and initiatives; Provide technical guidance and support to end-users as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
* Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Qualys Certified Specialist) are preferred
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and security, with a focus on SCCM and Qualys
* Strong knowledge of Qualys for vulnerability management and security assessments
* Proficiency in SCCM for software deployment and system management
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, need to be highly proficient in Excel
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of security and performance
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Familiarity with other IT management tools and platforms is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
