Job Description: our client is seeking motivated Junior Database Administrators (DBAs) to join our dynamic data operations team. This team is responsible for maintaining and optimizing both legacy and cloud databases, ensuring peak performance across all systems. As a Junior DBA, you will primarily support Oracle and SQL Server databases during 24/7 .
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive database and system support.
Monitor system performance, collect statistical data, and generate reports.
Analyze performance statistics to recommend and implement improvements.
Respond to system and application alerts promptly.
Diagnose, test, and troubleshoot software, operating system, and database issues.
Plan and execute software installations, configurations, upgrades, and patching.
Perform database configuration, maintenance, upgrades, and patching.
Manage and execute system and database backups.
Conduct manual switches to redundant systems or database components in case of failures.
Required Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience as a Database Administrator.
1+ years of experience with SQL.
1+ years of experience with Oracle database administration.
1+ years of experience with SQL Server database administration.
Familiarity with ticketing systems.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various business units.
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in the healthcare insurance industry.
Skills in performance tuning, database management, and SQL database administration.
