We are seeking a skilled and experienced Workplace Services Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing and securing IT infrastructure, with expertise in System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Qualys. This role will involve deploying software, managing updates, conducting security assessments, and ensuring the overall health and security of our IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Software Deployment and Management: Utilize SCCM to deploy software, updates, and patches across the organization's network, ensuring all systems are up-to-date and compliant with security standards.
- System Configuration and Management: Configure and manage SCCM to maintain and optimize the performance of IT systems, including workstations, servers, and mobile devices.
- Security Assessments: Conduct vulnerability scans and security assessments using Qualys to identify and address potential threats and vulnerabilities.
- Patch Management: Implement and manage patch management processes to ensure all systems are protected against known vulnerabilities.
- Incident Response: Respond to and resolve IT incidents and security breaches, working closely with the IT team to mitigate risks and prevent future occurrences.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of IT processes, configurations, and security assessments. Generate reports on system performance and security status for management review.
- Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other IT team members to support various IT projects and initiatives. Provide technical guidance and support to end-users as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management and security, with a focus on SCCM and Qualys.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SCCM for software deployment and system management.
- Strong knowledge of Qualys for vulnerability management and security assessments.
- Familiarity with other IT management tools and platforms is a plus.
- Certifications: Relevant IT certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate, Qualys Certified Specialist) are preferred.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, need to be highly proficient in excel
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
