Job Title: Lead QA Engineer - WSI
Location: Rocklin, CA (4 Days Onsite)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a Lead QA Engineer with extensive experience in merchandise and logistics, and retail environments. This role is focused on ensuring that the WSI (Web Services Integration) standard is followed and setting the quality standard for the team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on with the technical aspects of quality assurance, including testing in Java, Tibco, and Springboot Framework, as well as performing DB and XSD validation and microservice automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage quality assurance activities, ensuring adherence to the WSI standard.
- Collaborate with the development and operations teams to ensure quality and consistency in all merchandise, logistics, and retail-related systems.
- Perform hands-on testing in Java, Tibco, and Springboot Framework to ensure software meets performance, security, and functionality requirements.
- Lead the testing of microservices and ensure that microservice automation is implemented effectively.
- Perform DB validation and XSD validation to ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Guide and mentor junior QA engineers in best practices for testing and WSI standard adherence.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into test plans and strategies.
- Create and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts.
- Ensure all defects are accurately tracked and reported, collaborating with development teams to resolve issues promptly.
- Assist with performance testing, security testing, and other specialized testing efforts as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in merchandise, logistics, and retail systems is a must.
- Retail experience with a deep understanding of retail operations and processes.
- Strong experience in Java programming and automated testing.
- Hands-on technical experience with Tibco for integration and automation.
- Strong experience in DB validation and XSD validation to ensure data integrity.
- Proficient with the Springboot Framework for application testing.
- Experience in microservices testing and automation, including testing individual components in a microservice architecture.
- Proven ability to follow and set the WSI standard within a development team.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to guide and mentor junior team members.
