PeopleSoft Integration Developer

We are looking for an expert-level PeopleSoft Integration Developer to lead the design, development, and optimization of integrations within the PeopleSoft ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Integration Broker, and REST/SOAP web services to enable seamless data exchange between PeopleSoft and third-party enterprise applications.

While Boomi experience is not required, candidates with Boomi or other middleware integration experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. PeopleSoft Integration Development

Develop and maintain real-time and batch integrations between PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and external applications.

Configure and manage PeopleSoft Integration Broker, including Service Operations, Message Queues, and Handlers.

Build and consume RESTful and SOAP-based web services within PeopleSoft.

Develop PeopleCode-based integrations and optimize Application Engine programs for data exchange.

Ensure data security, error handling, logging, and monitoring for all integration processes.

2. PeopleSoft Campus Solutions Expertise

Work extensively with modules such as:

Admissions & Recruitment

Student Records

Financial Aid

Student Financials

Campus Community

Design and implement API-based integrations to support student and faculty services.

Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable integration solutions.

3. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting

Troubleshoot and resolve integration failures, web service errors, and message queue bottlenecks.

Conduct performance tuning of integrations using SQL, PeopleCode, and Application Engine.

Implement best practices for error handling, retry mechanisms, and data validation.

Provide production support for critical integrations and optimize system performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications PeopleSoft & Integration Expertise

10+ years of PeopleSoft development experience, with a strong focus on integration technologies.

Expertise in PeopleSoft Integration Broker, including Service Operations, Routing, and Handlers.

Proficiency in developing and consuming REST and SOAP Web Services using PeopleSoft.

Strong experience in PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, XML, and JSON.

Deep understanding of Application Messaging, AsynchronoSynchronous Messaging, and Queues.

Experience with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions (CS 9.2) and its data structures.

Database & Performance Optimization

Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and database performance tuning for PeopleSoft integrations.

Experience working with Oracle Database, SQL Server, or other RDBMS platforms.

Security & API Standards

Experience implementing OAuth 2.0, JWT, SSL, and API token-based authentication.

Understanding of security best practices for web services and enterprise integrations.

Preferred but Not Required

Experience with Dell Boomi or other middleware platforms for API management and ETL workflows.

Experience integrating PeopleSoft with ERP, CRM, IAM (Identity Management), or Cloud Applications.

Exposure to AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for hosting integrations.

Knowledge of PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) for integration-related patches.

Soft Skills & Work Approach

Strong problem-solving and debugging skills with attention to detail.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, DBAs, and Project Managers.

Excellent technical documentation and communication skills.

Experience working in Agile development environments.
