We are looking for a passionate and experienced leader to oversee all aspects of people management for a dynamic company headquartered in Oneida, NY. In this role, you’ll be driving recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and more for a group dedicated to providing cutting-edge IT and cybersecurity solutions. You will join a company primarily focused on providing information technology and cyber solutions services to the federal government and occasionally including hospitality, gaming, and retail. Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Mentor and coach our human resources team to deliver top-notch operational support and help maintain our reputation as a great place to work.
  • HR Expertise: Provide guidance on team member systems and payroll, particularly in our IT and cyber solutions sectors. Occasionally, this may include services for hospitality, gaming, and retail.
  • Team Development: Lead training and service evaluations, establish metrics for success, and create feedback systems to foster accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams such as finance and legal to provide administrative support and align strategies across departments. Identify areas for process improvement and standardization. Work with team to implement Standard Operating Procedures
  • Compliance Support: Collaborate with our Facility Security Officer to ensure recruiting, onboarding, and monitoring of cleared team members meet all legal and policy standards. Ensure company is abiding by regulatory standards including OFCCP and AAP
  • System Optimization: Provide strategic input on HRIS and related systems to improve efficiency, automation, and overall functionality.
  • Data Management: Oversee all team member records and data, ensuring secure, efficient handling and document management.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Offer critical information and analysis to support staffing and business planning decisions. Lead efforts to integrate manager and team member self-serve tools and analytics.
  • Benefit & Pay Audits: Regularly audit to ensure accuracy in team member pay, benefits enrollments, and compliance with benefit plans.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in people and culture management for a large, diverse organization, particularly in the IT sector.
  • 5+ years of experience with organizations engaged in government contracting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, human resources, or equivalent experience required. A Master’s in Human Resources or MBA is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, OFCCP and other relevant labor laws.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proven ability to write for both business and technical audiences.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting and analysis.
  • Flexibility to provide leadership during extended hours and support teams working nights or weekends.
  • Proficient with MS Office and experienced in human capital management systems.
