Location: San Jose CA (Need locals only, Day 1 onsite No remote option at all)

Job Description:
The Software Engineer is responsible for designing and developing real-time control software for semiconductor capital equipment, specifically for deposition process systems such as ALD and CVD cluster tools used for DRAM and logic fabrications. The individual will work in a cross-functional, multitasking, international team environment to develop and support the software for cluster tools.
Major Responsibilities:
- Requirements gathering, design, develop, integrate, test and document real-time control software for semiconductor manufacturing cluster tools
- Analyze system requirements and translate into software specifications
- Respond promptly and professionally to bug reports; follow quality system to verify, document, and fix problems
- Support development labs, production staff, and customers as required
- Work as an independent, self-motivated, task-oriented team player, planning and performing all tasks in an efficient manner
- International travel is required up to 10%
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field with solid programming knowledge and hands-on experience in C#, .Net and databases
- At least 2 years experience in real-time multitasking programming, preferably for large equipment control software in the semiconductor industry
- Experience in software development for intelligent devices and their interfaces such as: Robots, MFC s, gate valves, pressure transducers, integrated gasbox, gas panel, safety-critical devices, Ethernet, TCP/IP, RS-232, DeviceNet etc.
- Experience in cross-functional software projects
- Knowledge of PLC configuration and programming is a plus
- Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT/EtherCat software operation is a plus
- Knowledge of factory automation and SEMI standards (SECS/GEM) is a plus
- Knowledge of Windows GUI developmen
Strong and effective interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of staff and customers
