Prevailance is seeking an experienced and mission-focused professional to support Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC) as a Ballistic Missile Defense Commander (BMDO/BMD/U). The ideal candidate brings extensive Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) expertise, with hands-on experience as a TAO, BMD Watch Officer, or CSC, providing tactical leadership in high-stakes environments. They have a strong background in BMD training and scenario development, utilizing tools like JSAF and MARCI, and possess deep knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDL), Link 11/16, GCCS-M, and C2 systems.

ATGPAC is tasked with training and certifying all Pacific Fleet ships to ensure they meet evolving standards for naval and joint combat operations. This requires a dynamic, flexible approach to training, with ATGPAC delivering both in-person and distributed training across a broad spectrum of maritime missions. Special focus is placed on training shipboard teams to independently maintain and enhance combat readiness throughout deployment cycles.

Responsibilities May Include But Not Limited To
  • Conduct computer-based simulations and Live, Virtual, Constructive (LVC) events in the ATGSD Battle Lab to enhance Pacific Fleet readiness
  • Integrate live and synthetic training for ships and teams, including Final Battle Problems (FBP), Inport Training Exercises (MITE), and certification events
  • Utilize Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE), Tactical Data Links (TDL), and the Mission Distribution System (MDS) to create realistic operational scenarios
  • Collaborate with Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) to execute Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) Program events
  • Support the Distributed Training Architecture (DTA) under the guidance of Commander, Pacific Fleet (CPF)

Requirements

Experience:
  • Minimum 8 years of Air Defense (AD)/Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) mission area experience as a qualified Tactical Action Officer (TAO), BMD Watch Officer, or Combat Systems Coordinator (CSC) (at least 3 years in one of these roles)
  • At least 5 years of experience onboard an AEGIS DDG and/or CG
  • Naval Warfare Specialist with experience in implementing the Task Group Concept as an Air Defense Warfare Commander (B/SUWC/BMD), senior staff member for a Task Group/Force Commander, or senior facilitator with equivalent experience training warfare commanders or senior staff
  • 5 years of scenario development, training, or operational experience using Joint Semi Automated Forces (JSAF) and Multi-System Automated Remote-Control Interface (MARCI)
  • 5 years of experience with Tactical Data Information Link (TADIL) generation systems, including LOS Link 11(A)/16(J), Satellite-J, Link 16, Global Command and Control System-Maritime (GCCS-M), and Tactical Voice/Data Communications
  • Experience in naval warfare operations or training for naval warfare, with equivalent joint experience

Knowledge Requirements
  • Surface Force Training and Readiness Manual (SFTRM)
  • Composite Warfare Commander construct
  • Command and Control (C2) regarding surveillance, engagement, and planning functions for various numbered fleets
  • Staff and Fleet operations and planning procedures
  • Fleet Synthetic Training (FST) architecture
  • Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Planning and Operations (BMD Officer/CSC preferred)

Security Clearance
  • Must possess an active TOP SECRET/ Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security Clearance
