Application Production Support Analyst Montreal, QC (Hybrid 3 days per week onsite) 12 Months **The candidate needs to be local** Description/Comment: The team covers 6 days a week, rotational shift including coverage from 12pm to 9pm and coverage for Sunday on rotational basis (Once or twice per month, same working hours)
Skills needed:
- Strong communication skill (written and verbal).
- Incident management.
- Expert knowledge in SQL: able to build extended queries and know the SQL keyword, ideally Oracle SQL/ PL-SQL.
- Good knowledge in Unix and scripts: know commands to perform health check on a server and able to parse and investigate a log file.
- Knowledge of ITIL.
- Knowledge of Dynatrace.
- Knowledge of schedulers (Autosys, Control M), DataStage WTX and file transferring (CFT/FTP/MQ) would be an advantage.
- At least 4-7 years as Application Production Support.
- Team in charge of performing L1/L2 technical issues for major in house performance and reporting applications.
- Render support for global business operational users including AMER operations.
Department Overview
- The newly formed APS Team will offer services from Montreal as part of the IT Production Canada platform and is looking for suitably a qualified analyst. The Team will support a number of critical applications which are under high-availability constraints. These services range from providing technical and functional assistance to the supporting projects and deliveries. The Team will_ have focal attention of the Regional Management and its success is crucial for the Business.
Position Summary:
- The primary purpose of the job is to ensure day-to-day quality of service of Live applications to end-users by
- Diagnosing and resolving incidents
- Answering user requests
- Monitoring production environments
- Developing a good understanding of the existing application(functional and technical) Ensure daily communication & transition with teams from other time zones
- This position implies On Call Duties, to cover for eventual incident that may occur during the weekends, bank holidays as a level 2 for other locations.
- The position consists in providing support for the corresponding list of applications in a cross-regional
- environment, in a follow-the-sun model. It also encapsulates Incident, Change, Problem, Service Request and Release Management as part of the Service Management catalogue in line with the defined Standard Operating Procedures. Being a follow-the-sun model, candidates will be expected to work on different alternating shifts.
- Candidates having an exposure to ITT V3, capable of participating critical initiatives within the Team, interact with Quality Control and Reporting Teams in the production of Key Performance Indicators and exposure/experience towards follow-the-sun support model may be favoured.
- In addition, having technical and functional experience with applications like (but not Limited to) SWIFT, Cash Pooling, Bloomberg, Datawarehousing, Regulatory reporting and other financial/business applications will be favored.
Required Technical. knowledge:
- Expert knowledge in SQL queries (Sybase T-SQL mandatory, Oracle PL/SQL would be an advantage) and DBMS concepts (Sybase Replication Server would be an advantage)
- Expert knowledge experience of working in Unix environments and Shell scripting or Windows Good knowledge experience of working in MacOS environments
- Knowledge of programming Languages (C, C++, C, .Net, VBA, APS .Net, Java, 4D) would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Excel macros would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Schedulers (Autosys, Control M), ETL tool (Datastage WTX) and fire transfer tools (CFT) would be an advantage.
- Investment Banking / CapitaL markets knowledge
- Knowledge of ITIL

- Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a simiLar role. He/she must be experienced in providing multi-disciplined technical support as part of a team, and have practicaL knowledge of performance and capacity management from an application, database and network perspective as well as strong aptitude for automation

Required Education or Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Good French verbal communication skills are a plus, fluent English communication is a must
