Job Type: Full-time

General Description: Performs tasks related to providing formal classroom instruction, applying instructional system design (ISD), using systems approach to training (SAT) practices, and developing curriculum/lesson plans/programs of instruction (POI) and Training Support Packages (TSP) in support of knowledge management (KM), Business Analysis, Continuous Process Improvement, and Content Management. Use of interactive multimedia instruction, building and maintaining asynchronous online training courses, conducting virtual internet-based instruction, applying gamification concepts to learning, and other current/emerging training and education theories, practices, and technologies.

Specific Duties

  • Identifying training needs, presenting recommendations, and delivering learning solutions to address performance gaps; leveraging instructional design and performance improvement processes to analyze, design, develop, implement evaluate instructional materials and performance improvement programs.
  • Analyze training requirements, gaps, and future needs based on industry best practices, organizational guidance/policy, and strategic vision.
  • Develop lesson plans, organize course content, produce training aids, select teaching strategies using appropriate models, and developing course plans in support of the topics listed above.
  • Support the execution of classroom and remote courses.
  • Provide training subject matter expertise to the maintenance and update of KM competencies.

Requirements

  • Teaching and training development certification from any service school within the past 5 years.
  • Background in successfully designing, authoring, and employing web interfaces, multimedia products, audio/video content management, and interactive graphics.
  • Experience in:
    • Formal classroom instruction.
    • Developing training support materials.
    • Applying ISD and SAT practices.
    • Developing curriculum/lesson plans/POI.
    • Use of interactive multimedia instruction.
    • Conducting virtual internet-based instruction.
    • Applying gamification concepts to learning.
