The Patient Services Program Manager provides daily oversight and guidance related to case management and overall team performance. The individual acts as a liaison between the program, client, and auxiliary providers to streamline communication related to process, quality, performance, and expectations. This role coordinate activities between multiple program projects without directly managing them, giving detailed attention to program strategy, project delegation, and program implementation.

Core Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily oversight and guidance through effective leadership, providing ongoing assessment of program, reporting to management on related to case management, deficiencies, and overall team performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between the program, client, and auxiliary providers to streamline communication related to process, quality, performance, and expectations while building and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients.
  • Coaching and development of new hires.
  • Develop and enhance programs to optimize collaboration and integration of newly launched programs for pre and post treatments to meet departmental objectives and metrics.
  • Help develop policy and procedures for new programs and work on creating new processes for program development.
  • Collaborate with management to support the department’s strategic direction, execute, and implement newly defined processes to support new and existing customers.
  • Provide support for complex or escalated cases with clients, HCPs, and patients, as needed.
  • Manage a distributed and remote team, and general leadership of a team working remotely in all time zones to maintain productivity of employees.
  • Monitor the progress of program projects, identifying potential risks, and developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Lead meetings and provide regular updates to project sponsors and senior management to keep them informed of the project's status.
  • Assume responsibilities to ensure adequate staff and problem solving.
  • Ensure program projects comply with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitors metrics and milestones to chart progress against expectations and accountabilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies, tools, and processes to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of stakeholders.
  • Takes an active role in recruitment, hiring, training, development, evaluation, and termination of staff.
  • Participates in on-going training to expand and develop professional skills.
  • Performs other duties as necessary for the program, as assigned.

Education, Certifications and Experience:

  • Advanced knowledge and experience in healthcare setting
  • Possess a strong understanding of biologic/specialty pharma market and patient access challenges.
  • College degree (bachelor’s or associate degree)
  • 2 – 4 years of experience in a pharmacy, healthcare setting, and/or insurance background with a customer service focus.
  • 3-4 years of experience in program management.
  • The ability to direct, lead, and manage remote teams across various time zones.

Physical Requirements:

  • As a remote-forward organization, this position operates in a virtual professional virtual office environment and teleworking from the employee’s home address listed in their employment file.

The salary range for this position is $120,000-$135,000 based on experience and qualifications, with the final offer reflecting skills and other job-related factors.
