Job Title: Project Manager 2

Location: Austin, TX 78751 (Hybrid, as per hiring manager's discretion)

Job Description:

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, budgeting, overseeing, and documenting all aspects of specific projects within the organization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams or manage your team to ensure successful project delivery. This role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage complex tasks, and the capability to navigate through obstacles that may arise during project execution.

PMP Certification and Agile experience are required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects with implementations across large organizations, including developing and managing project plans, documenting risks, and ensuring the resolution of issues.
  • Analyze facts, devise solutions, and prepare concise reports. Solve complex problems and prioritize issues as necessary.
  • Map business processes, identify process improvements, and facilitate meetings to resolve group challenges.
  • Oversee the development of SDLC artifacts, ensuring business requirements are translated into technical specifications and guiding the SDLC process.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders, and provide clear communication and status updates.
  • Summarize and escalate issues, develop weekly status reports (written and verbal), and lead regular project team status meetings.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience managing projects with large organizational implementations, including developing and managing project plans, identifying risks, and resolving issues.
  • 3+ years of experience gathering, assembling, and analyzing data to provide solutions and prioritize complex issues.
  • 3+ years of experience in business process mapping and process improvement.
  • 3+ years of experience overseeing the development of SDLC artifacts and ensuring that business requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications.
  • 3+ years of experience developing and maintaining strong relationships with multiple project sponsors and stakeholders.
  • 3+ years of experience summarizing and escalating issues and providing project status updates (written and verbal).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, and ability to manage project progress effectively.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience implementing and using Agile methodologies and best practices within Texas State agencies.
  • 3+ years of Agile (Scrum) experience managing feature-driven sprints.
  • 1+ year of experience with PMP Certification.
  • 1+ year of experience with a four-year college or university degree.
