The Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Authority (OMMA) is seeking a full-time Materiel Management Specialist II. This is a state position governed by the Civil Service Rules, in state government located in Oklahoma City, OK. Position Summary

Positions in this job family are assigned responsibilities involving the management, from acquisition to disposal, of all supplies and equipment used to support an institution or agency. These responsibilities include procurement, receipt, storage, control, issuance, inventory, delivery of material, equipment, records, agency mail, and other supplies used to support agency business practices.

Position Responsibilities /Essential Functions

Receives, issues, ships, and arranges materials, equipment, records, agency mail and other supplies in proper locations using machinery as needed.

  • Performs courier activities internal and external to the agency; requiring operation of a state issued vehicle to BMEU (Business Mailing Entry Unit) and Post Office.
  • Performs complex and specialized printing projects, ensuring precision and maintaining high standards throughout the process.
  • Assists moving furniture and equipment as needed.
  • Executes organization of agency mailing services with precision and accuracy ensuring mail merges and mass mailings are printed and delivered timely.
  • Assists agency departments in mail preparation and tracking according to provided specifications.
  • Sorts and organizes mail for delivery.
  • Inspects items for conformance with specifications.
  • Tracks and uploads new, renewed, and canceled bonds for the Licensing Department.
  • Conducts inventories, maintains records, files reports, and performs administrative duties.
  • Coordinates with other units/divisions as needed to clarify procedures and determine status for a wide range of service and support related requests.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
  • Works effectively in team environment, participating and assisting their peers.
  • Participates in the development and evaluation of program objectives and procedures.
  • Provides training and technical assistance to internal staff.

Education And Experience

Education and Experience requirements at this level consist of two years’ experience in receipt, storage, or stock handling work, issuance of material, customer service, or clerical office work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualification

One year of experience working in a mail room setting performing mailing and print shop functions.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities required at this level include knowledge of simple arithmetic; of the English language; of storage methods and procedures; of inventory methods and techniques and maintaining detailed inventory records; of warehousing practices and techniques; of stock handling; of the operation of warehouse equipment; and of stock identification methods. Ability is required to write simple reports; to follow oral or written instructions; to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; to store and warehouse a variety of supplies; to maintain detailed inventory records; to maintain accurate warehouse records; and to follow oral and written instructions. Skill is required to operate a forklift.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Applicants must be willing and able to fulfill all job-related travel normally associated with this position. Some positions may require performing moderately heavy lifting or other manual tasks. Applicants must meet the physical requirements of lifting/carrying 70 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently and able to push and pull a maximum force of 40 pounds.

Special Requirements

Applicants must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License at the time of employment and maintain a valid license.
