Role Description

We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Engagement Manager to establish and lead an Enterprise Strategy team for a Fortune 500 Consumer Goods. This team is being created to shape a strategic agenda for a CEO of a multi-billion dollar business unit and their executive team by providing insights on market intelligence and proactively identifying growth opportunities (both internal and external), and to provide a support for strategic decision making by providing independent and data-driven insights into wide range of business challenges (from pricing and innovation to operations and efficiency).

In this role, you will act as a key advisor to the CEO and executive team, helping shape and execute strategic initiatives that drive business impact. The ideal candidate should be an expert in the Consumer Goods industry (preferably food manufacturing) with a strong track record of working with the largest food manufactures on the market, either as tenured industry practitioner with experience in Strategy, Brand Marketing or Finance functions, or an experienced management consultant working with a strong track record of serving largest CPG companies on business strategy topics. Strong problem-solving skills, deep CPG industry expertise, and excellent executive communication skills are essential for success in this role. Experience in data and analytics is a plus.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and drive enterprise strategy initiatives by working closely with executive stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research, industry trend analysis, and business diagnostics to shape data-driven strategies and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute strategic roadmaps that support business transformation efforts.
  • Lead executive communication and stakeholder management, presenting insights and recommendations that influence key business decisions.
  • Identify opportunities for business development and expansion within the CPG sector, supporting both ongoing engagements and new workstreams.
  • Oversee and mentor a team of Associates, Senior Associates, and Data Scientists, fostering growth and excellence in execution.
  • Work in tandem with analytics teams to integrate insights into strategic decision-making, ensuring a holistic approach to problem-solving.

Required Qualifications

  • 3-7 years of experience working within CPG industry (ideally, food manufacturing) as a management consultant or in-house strategy, finance, or brand marketing roles.
  • Practical experience of shaping strategic agenda and driving strategic initiatives withing CPG sector, including performing business diagnostics, market research, financial modeling, scenario analysis, and supporting CEO-level decision making.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business challenges into structured, actionable solutions.
  • Exceptional executive communication (both written and oral) and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and drive meaningful impact in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Consulting experience is preferred, though candidates with a strong industry background in strategy roles will also be considered.
  • Onsite presence required up to four days per week (NY area).
