Job Description:

The DevOps Engineer 3 will play a key role in the DevSecOps team, responsible for developing, reviewing, modifying, and enhancing CI/CD principles. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining CI/CD tools & platforms, automating processes, and developing batch job monitoring and optimization strategies. The engineer will also support the installation, configuration, build, and deployment of applications related to Eligibility Supporting Technology applications across development, test, training, and production environments.

The role requires environment triage support, including workday, night, and weekend on-call responsibilities to maintain high availability for developers, testers, trainers, and end users. This position works under minimal supervision with considerable latitude for independent decision-making.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, monitor, and optimize batch jobs and operations.
  • Analyze current technology infrastructure and develop improvement and expansion plans.
  • Implement and enhance advanced CI/CD solutions.
  • Develop, test, build, install, configure, and maintain IT solutions.
  • Analyze processes and deployments to propose automation improvements.
  • Use configuration management software to automate updates and fixes in various environments.
  • Document processes and procedures.
  • Support production and non-production activities, releases, and sprint-related tasks.
  • Provide enterprise-level automation solutions and develop new automated solutions.
  • Develop proposal plans for approval.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience automating full-life cycle enterprise IT environments using IaC, CaC, and CI/CD tools integrated into a unified solution supporting new environment setups and modifications in technologies like IBM WebSphere, MQ, Oracle, and AWS.
  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing scalable, repeatable, and recoverable automation solutions.
  • 10+ years of expertise in automation tools like Terraform, Terragrunt, Ansible Automation Platform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Liquibase.
  • 8+ years of experience with programming and scripting languages such as Python, GoLang, Shell, Ruby, Bash, Perl.
  • 8+ years of experience working with Containers and Kubernetes orchestration (e.g., PODMAN, Docker, OpenShift, Rancher) and packaging tools (Helm Charts, Kustomize).
  • 8+ years of experience with Linux and Windows operating systems.
  • 8+ years of experience designing solutions using AWS Well-Architected Framework.
  • 8+ years of excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of Java development experience (Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, EJB, JSP, JSF/Struts, XML).
  • 5+ years of experience with WebSphere ND, MQ, Oracle, Java, SQL tools (PL/SQL Developer, SQL Plus), LDAP, Splunk, Dynatrace.
