University of Connecticut School of Medicine and The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine joint faculty position
The University of Connecticut School of Medicine (UConn Health) and The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine (JAX-GM) are seeking to recruit a talented scientist or physician-scientist for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level in any area of biomedical research. Applicants should have a PhD, MD, or MD/PhD degrees and a commitment to basic or translational research.
The successful candidate will hold a tenure track appointment in the appropriate academic department at UCH and a faculty appointment at JAX-GM. S/he may also be cross-appointed with the University of Connecticut Institute for Systems Genomics. The Jackson Laboratory (JAX), one of the world's leading nonprofit biomedical research organizations, is at the forefront of genetic and genomic research, leveraging technology, data science, and model systems to study the genetic basis of health and disease. The unique combination of rich research capabilities and a dynamic and emerging interdisciplinary environment provides an opportunity to create a truly transformative research program.
This position is supported by an initiative established by the State of Connecticut to bolster biomedical research on the Farmington campus. The successful applicant will perform clinical duties (if any) at UConn Health and conduct laboratory research at JAX-GM.
