We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Virsec listing Engineer to join our cybersecurity team. As a Virsec listing Engineer, you will be responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the Virsec security platform s listing policies. Your role will focus on ensuring that applications and processes are properly listed while minimizing security risks, reducing false positives, and ensuring compliance with company security policies and industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Virsec listing Management:
    • Design, configure, and manage Virsec listing policies to allow legitimate applications and processes to execute while blocking unauthorized ones.
    • Regularly review and update lists to adapt to changes in applications, operating systems, and other system components.

  • Application & Process listing:
    • Collaborate with development, IT, and security teams to identify and list critical applications and system processes.

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive lists of trusted applications, executables, and scripts that should be listed in the Virsec platform.
  • Policy Enforcement & Compliance:
    • Ensure all listing policies are compliant with corporate security standards, industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS), and best practices.
    • Monitor the enforcement of listing policies to ensure that security controls are properly applied without disrupting business operations.
    • Document and report on listing exceptions and justify the rationale behind policy adjustments when necessary.
  • Threat and Vulnerability Analysis:
    • Evaluate the security implications of newly listed applications and processes, ensuring they do not introduce vulnerabilities or conflicts with existing security controls.
    • Work with threat intelligence and vulnerability management teams to identify new threats that may affect listed applications.
    • Proactively identify potential conflicts or vulnerabilities that could arise from improperly listed or unapproved software.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity or IT security, with at least 2 years focused on listing (preferably with Virsec Security Platform or other application listing technologies).
  • Experience with security policy enforcement and the application of security standards in corporate environments.
  • Strong understanding of application listing, endpoint security, and threat mitigation techniques.
  • Experience with application control tools (e.g., listing, listing, code signing, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems, including application management, process controls, and security settings.
  • Familiarity with endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools and SIEM systems (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, etc.).
  • Experience with network security and firewall configurations is a plus.
  • Virsec Security Certified Engineer or similar certification is preferred.
