We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Policy Officer to join the Fire and Emergency Management Policy Branch in DEECA.
You'll be part of a small team responsible for developing policy advice and leading discrete policy projects on anything and everything emergency-related - from planning and risk reduction to inquiries and reform.
You'll love a diverse work program and thrive jumping from working on tsunamis to cetacean entanglements to bushfires.
You'll be self-motivated, a creative thinker, be able to plan and manage timelines and prioritise work with a curious mind keen to tackle the big policy problems facing the emergency management sector.

- Tertiary qualification(s) in public policy, social science, emergency management or environmental management or similar is desirable
- Demonstrated understanding of Victoria's emergency management arrangements will be highly regarded.
