Status: Full-Time, 100% On-Site

Compensation: $70,000-$75,000/yr

Position Summary: The Associate Men’s Design Developer will be responsible for the development of new apparel designs starting from the initial ideation phase up till style adoption. They will work with and support the Men’s design team to develop a wide range of product categories and oversee that factories achieve the aesthetic and quality to our standards. The Associate Men’s Design Developer will also be responsible for overseeing trim developments that pertain to their styles.

Primary Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation and maintenance of style numbers and our master style charts
  • Creation and maintenance of BOMS
  • Attending fittings and updating BOMs as necessary with changes
  • Launching of TPS to factories and ownership of email correspondence in relation to design details & questions
  • Launching, tracking & executing of trim developments including costing of trims
  • A key player in setting up systems to organize trim developments
  • Updating & organizing relevant information into our PLM system such as trim articles & costs
  • Launching of mock ups, carry-over test bodies & artwork work strike offs with overseas factories
  • Tracking & logging the above requests from factories to ensure we are receiving in timely manner
  • Communicating factory calls outs & design discrepancies to design teams

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 2-3 years of relative product experience
  • Must be comfortable in working on all product categories: wovens, cut/sew knits & sweaters
  • Basic conceptual understanding and ability to explain theories, practices, and procedures within the product development process
  • Ability to help establish or improve process
  • Excellent leadership/ management skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Good organizational, time management and communication skills
  • Must be flexible to meet demands of deadline
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects
  • Have a positive and passionate attitude. A willing problem-solver who is determined to work together and find solution
