AMC Networks is home to many of the greatest stories and characters in TV and film and the premier destination for passionate and engaged fan communities around the world.

We create and curate celebrated series and films across distinct brands and make them available to audiences everywhere. Our portfolio includes targeted streaming services AMC+, Acorn TV, Shudder, Sundance Now, ALLBLK and HIDIVE; cable networks AMC, BBC AMERICA, IFC, Sundance TV and WE tv; and film distribution labels IFC Films and RLJE Films. The company also operates AMC Studios, our in-house studio, production, and distribution operation behind acclaimed and fan-favorite originals including The Walking Dead Universe and the Anne Rice Immortal Universe, and AMC Networks International, our international programming business.

We are currently seeking a Manager, Events to join our Production & Operations team based in our New York, New York headquarters.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work across all AMCN networks supporting production and event initiatives
  • Support consumer activations, client hospitality events, internal conferences, premieres/award events and festivals
  • Work closely with the broader marketing team in producing the AMCN Upfront (Presentation, Event, Videos)
  • Support the VP, Events and Director, Events with event logistics and management
  • Work with internal design team managing design projects
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on a daily basis across internal teams
  • Work with outside agencies, vendors, designers, writers on all collateral needs
  • Stay on top of industry trends and competitive news in an effort to stay ahead of the industry curve


QUALIFICATIONS (Preferred & Required)

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5-7 years of relevant work experience
  • 2+ years of management experience preferred
  • Exceptional communication skills with a keen understanding of how to work across multiple departments at once
  • Outstanding project management skills including organization, planning, multi-tasking and time management
  • Must be willing to travel with little to no notice to cover events
  • Creative thinker – must enjoy the brainstorm and ideation process
  • Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced work environment
  • Entrepreneurial, self-starter with hands-on approach
  • Expertise in PowerPoint and strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Upbeat, can-do, proactive attitude, ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Ability to adapt, be flexible and solution-oriented in an environment of constant change


The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $80,000 commensurate with experience. AMC Networks additionally offers a comprehensive benefits package including Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription Drug Coverage, 401k Plan, Wellness Program, Life Insurance, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Paid Parental Leave and Adoption Services, among other benefit plan options, subject to eligibility requirements.
