We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Business Development to drive our business growth through commercial development and sales team management.

Position Description:

Mosaic Biosciences is seeking an enthusiastic full-time Associate Scientist to join our Protein Sciences & Analytics team in Boulder, Colorado. In this role, you will support our analytical biophysical developability teamwork by using state-of-the-art techniques to characterize and optimize protein therapeutics. This position is ideal for a candidate with BS or MS in Life Sciences (or a related field) and 0-2 years of laboratory experience who are eager to launch their career, expand their technical expertise and learn in a supportive and collaborative environment. You will be part of a team dedicated to advancing our projects and ensuring the high quality and performance of our protein-based therapeutics.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing, validating, and executing biophysical assays to assess protein stability, aggregation, and overall developability.
  • Operate and maintain laboratory instruments, including HPLC systems and various spectroscopic equipment.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret experimental data, preparing detailed reports and presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process improvements and ensure adherence to laboratory safety and quality standards.
  • Actively participate in project teams.
  • Assist with routine instrument maintenance.
  • Maintain a detailed and accurate laboratory notebook for all research activities.
  • Understand and adhere to Mosaic standards regarding code of conduct, safety, and appropriate handling of materials.

Qualifications:

  • BS or MS in Life Sciences, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
  • 0 - 2+ years of laboratory experience, with exposure to standard lab practices.
  • This is an entry level position; Individuals must have the academic background, basic lab skills, and capability to perform the responsibilities and duties listed above and be willing to learn.
  • Basic familiarity with analytical techniques such as HPLC, ELISA, and spectroscopic methods or experience working with biological materials (i.e. protein, peptides, DNA, RNA, etc.), and/or lipids is preferred.
  • Basic proficiency with Windows 10 and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) is desirable.
  • Effective time and resource management skills and enthusiasm for working in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail.

Location: This is a full-time position in Boulder, CO with in-person work in our labs.

Compensation Range: $55,000 - $65,000 (depending on experience and level)
