Overview
The Vice President (VP) of Digital Marketing Strategy is responsible for leading and consulting with customers on digital marketing strategies, data-driven decision-making, and customer insights that drive business growth. The Vice President of Digital Marketing Strategy will drive innovation and thought leadership that result in accelerating our customer's marketing strategies and growth. This role combines expertise in digital marketing, data analytics, and technology to optimize marketing performance, enhance customer engagement, and drive revenue.
The Digital Marketing team is the bridge between our Experience, Technology and Data practices. As the bridge, this team is responsible for partnering with our clients to understand their business objectives and marketing goals to envision omnichannel data led digital strategies. This client facing and strategic role will work closely with client stakeholders and Velir client teams to envision, develop, and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that elevate our clients' brands, and foster lasting connections with their audiences.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of brand management, digital marketing, campaign creation, and marketing technology, with the ability to direct cross-functional teams while also being hands-on in developing and executing key marketing initiatives on behalf of our clients that clearly articulates vision, strategies, and methods to achieve shared goals for our clients.

Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Act as a digital marketing thought leader with a strong point of view delivering data driven digital marketing strategy consultation.
- Develop data driven digital marketing vision and digital transformation roadmaps.
- Develop and execute comprehensive digital and data marketing strategies aligned with customer business goals.
- Translate market insights into actionable strategies to keep clients ahead in the dynamic digital landscape.
- Lead the integration of data analytics, AI, and marketing technology to optimize customer marketing performance.
- Oversee the development of customer segmentation, personalization, and predictive modeling strategies and services.
- Ensure seamless omnichannel marketing strategies across digital, mobile and offline channels.
- Optimize digital campaigns using performance metrics, attribution modeling, and A/B testing.
- Oversee SEO, paid media, social media, and content marketing strategies and services.
- Enhance customer journey mapping, behavioral analysis, and lifecycle marketing.
- Consult and deliver CRM and marking automation to drive personalize engagement and retention.
- Partner with Data Science and Data teams to develop marketing data strategies
- Understand and leverage advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI as a part of transformation strategy recommendations and client deliverables/roadmaps.
- Work across teams to develop testing and optimization plans leveraging Velir data resources, knowledge and reporting frameworks to drive data-driven decision-making.
- Understand and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations while delivering plans to deliver customer data effectively.
- Build and mentor high-performing digital marketing and analytics team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, data, experience design, and DXP to align marketing efforts.
- Lead innovation in the areas of marketing technologies and emerging data-driven strategies.
- Conduct thorough market analysis, staying informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging digital technologies.
- Handle supplementary duties as necessary.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Marketing, Data Science, Business or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in digital marketing, data analytics and leadership roles.
- Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Proven success in leading high performing data drive digital marketing teams.
- Strong communication competency and the ability to effectively convey information, ideas, and emotions in various contexts, including verbal, non-verbal, written, interpersonal, adaptability, conflict resolution and presentation skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capability.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy under pressure.

- Frequent sitting at a desk performing work on a computer
