Client Intake & Assessment:

- Complete intake documentation and ensure that all required paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed and assess the urgency of services required for each client.
- Work with clients to schedule appointments for intake and assessments with appropriate clinicians.
- Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., clinical, administrative) to ensure smooth transitions for clients entering treatment programs.
- Collaborate with external service providers, including community agencies, hospitals, and insurance companies, to ensure clients have access to needed resources.
- Provide education to clients and families about available behavioral health services, insurance coverage, and the treatment process.
- Advocate for clients to ensure they receive the appropriate care and services.
- Maintain regular contact with clients to check on their progress and well-being during the admissions process.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in accordance with HIPAA and agency standards.
- Ensure that all necessary consents, assessments, and documentation are completed and entered into the agency's electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as agency policies and procedures related to admissions.
- Record client information and progress in the EHR system.
- Assist in compiling data for reports on admissions, service utilization, and program effectiveness.
- Monitor and track admissions to ensure that service capacity is efficiently utilized.
- Collaborate with clinical staff, therapists, and counselors to ensure appropriate referrals and client placements.
- Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Assist with special projects or administrative tasks as needed.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field required.
- Relevant certification or licensure (e.g., Certified Addiction Counselor, Licensed Social Worker) is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a behavioral health setting, including experience with client intake and case management.
- Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, particularly in the behavioral health or mental health fields.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health services and resources.
- Knowledge of insurance eligibility, benefit verification, and treatment authorization processes.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Compassionate and empathetic, with the ability to work effectively with individuals in crisis.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- A passion for serving individuals with behavioral health challenges and supporting their path to recovery.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings or weekends as needed.
