WeTheHobby, a trusted and respected brand in the sports collectibles industry, is looking for a Production Intern to support our growing on-air team by assisting with show rundowns, creative content development, and production administration.

As a Production Intern, you will be reporting to and working closely with our Senior Media Director. You’ll play a key role in curating engaging sports content, assisting on-air personalities, and ensuring smooth show execution across multiple daily live streams.

This role is ideal for a driven, sports-savvy individual with a background in sports journalism, media production, or related fields.

This role is part-time, located onsite at our beautiful new Headquarters in the Village Gate neighborhood in Rochester, NY

What You’ll Do
  • Assist in show preparation by helping develop structured rundowns for multiple daily streams, tailored to different personalities and sports (baseball, football, basketball).
  • Research and create talking points, trivia questions, and fact-checked sports-related content to enhance on-air discussions.
  • Pull news stories and topics for breakers to discuss on-air.
  • Watch and clip live streams, manually pulling and editing five key video clips from daily streams for content, promotions, or analysis.
  • Help maintain well-structured files and archives for past streams, show rundowns, and creative content.
  • Keep studios organized, maintaining cleanliness and order in production spaces to ensure a smooth workflow.
  • Write detailed production rundowns to guide each live stream and structure engaging content.
  • Brainstorm new and engaging ways to segment streams, incorporating audience interaction, themed discussions, and unique content.
  • Gain hands-on experience with potential growth into a production assistant role.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:
  • Passion for sports media, production, and content creation
  • Strong research skills with an interest in sports journalism and storytelling.
  • Understanding of sports culture, stats, and trends (baseball, football, basketball).
  • Ability to curate and adapt content for different on-air personalities and audiences.
  • A hustler mentality – eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute creatively.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle fast-paced, multi-stream production.
  • Experience with live production, broadcasting, or social media content creation is a plus.
  • Ability to research and pitch ideas
  • Ability to react quickly and positively under pressure

In accordance with applicable Federal and State laws, the anticipated hourly wage for this position based upon location in Rochester, NY and experience is $20.00 per hour.
