StandardAero is looking for an Aerospace Government Program Supply Chain Ops Manager for our San Antonio, TX Facility

The Aerospace Government Program Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing a team of buyers that plan and requisition Jet Engine parts for various government programs. The manager will serve as the primary liaison with government entities such as the USAF, DLA, and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), ensuring the effective flow of parts and materials to meet program requirements. This role will also involve internal coordination with operations, engineering, supply chain, and program offices to resolve supply chain constraints and ensure that engine output goals and turnaround time (TAT) targets are achieved.

As a Supply Chain Manager, your key responsibilities will be:

  • Team Leadership & Management:

Lead and manage a team of buyers responsible for planning and requisitioning Jet Engine parts. Ensure that the team is meeting internal and external program objectives.

  • Parts Planning & Forecasting:

Create and maintain parts planning forecasts to ensure adequate inventory levels and timely availability of materials for engine production and repairs.

  • Government Customer Interface:

Act as the lead interface with government customers (i.e., USAF, DLA) on all program-related supply chain matters. Ensure clear communication and alignment between the customer and internal teams.

  • Cross-functional Coordination:

Lead internal coordination efforts with operations, engineering, supply chain, and the program office to address supply chain challenges, streamline processes, and ensure that supply chain operations run smoothly.

  • Supply Chain Constraints Management:

Work proactively to identify and resolve internal and external supply chain constraints that may impact program timelines and objectives.

  • Liaison with Government Sources of Supply & OEMs:

Serve as the primary liaison with government sources of supply and OEMs to manage parts planning and mitigate potential parts shortages or delays.

  • Government Systems Expertise:

Be proficient in the use of government systems such as FEDMALL, CAV, and DO35, ensuring seamless communication and compliance with government program requirements.

  • Parts Forecasting Conferences & Reviews:

Represent the Director of Supply Chain at detailed parts forecasting conferences and customer-driven parts review meetings. Communicate key supply chain challenges and propose solutions as necessary.

  • Supply Stores & Kitting Management:

Ensure that supply stores and kitting operations meet the needs of the production and repair operations to achieve engine output goals and meet TAT targets.

  • Government Asset Reporting:

Oversee the Government asset reporting team to ensure compliance with government program requirements, including the balance of DIFM/DOTM.

  • Repair & Parts Ordering Coordination:

Collaborate with operations to implement best practices for repair and parts ordering, ensuring the availability of components necessary for engine repairs and assembly.

  • OEM Coordination & Negotiation:

Leverage experience with jet/turboprop engine OEMs to coordinate and negotiate parts availability, pricing, and lead times.

  • Supply Chain Operations & Program Standup Meetings:

Lead the supply chain team in all operations and program standup meetings, ensuring parts flow, communication, and alignment to meet daily mission requirements.

  • Analytical & Forecasting Tools:

Utilize strong analytical skills to analyze supply chain data, improve ordering and forecasting tools, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the aerospace or defense industry.
  • Experience with coordinating and negotiating with jet/turboprop engine OEMs.
  • Proficient in government systems such as FEDMALL, CAV, and DO35.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Experience with coordinating and negotiating with jet/turboprop engine OEMs
  • Ability to work collaboratively with government and internal teams to solve complex supply chain issues.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior leadership experience in aerospace or defense supply chain management.
  • Strong understanding of government contracting processes and compliance requirements.
  • Experience in the management of aerospace parts, particularly in the context of jet engine parts and repairs.
  • Experience with ORACLE software
