This role will focus on the development of our knitwear category, supporting the creation of trend-forward, high-quality styles that align with our brand’s contemporary aesthetic. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in fashion design, preferably within the contemporary market, with a strong passion for knitwear and an eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the design and development of seasonal knitwear collections, ensuring alignment with brand identity and market trends.
- Create detailed flat sketches, technical packages, and CADs for development and production.
- Conduct trend research, including competitive analysis, street style inspiration, and runway reviews, to help shape new concepts.
- Collaborate with the design team on fabric selection, color palettes, and yarn development.
- Communicate with vendors and factories to track sample development, ensuring timely execution of prototypes.
- Maintain organized design files, libraries, and line sheets.
- Assist in fittings and take notes to refine designs based on feedback.
- Support the design team with administrative tasks, presentation preparations, and collection merchandising.
- 1-2 years of experience in fashion design, preferably within the contemporary or premium denim market.
- Strong understanding of knitwear construction, fabrics, and yarns.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel; knowledge of PLM systems is a plus.
- Ability to create detailed technical sketches and spec sheets.
- Strong sense of style, trend awareness, and attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
