Position Summary:

Reporting directly to the Associate Dean in the College of Business and Economics, the Associate Director of CBE Outreach works with the Director of Student Engagement to coordinate and conduct college recruiting efforts. In addition, this position works with Career Services developing and coordinating student internships, the Co-op program, other experiential learning opportunities and job placement. Responsibilities include building relationships with community colleges, potential students and corporate employers, as well as coordinating with faculty and tracking data. The position also involves travel and attendance at evening and weekend events.

Education:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

Experience:

  • Working in a customer service environment
  • Communicating with individuals in person, by phone, virtual meetings, email and texts
  • Participating as a team member on a project to attain a specific goal
  • Working independently with little oversight to accomplish a specific task
  • Using computer software and applications for word processing, developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
  • Editing and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation as demonstrated in application materials

Availability:

  • Attend evening and weekend events
  • Travel to recruiting events

Education:

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or other advanced degree

Experience:

  • Two years experience in each of the required qualifications
  • Recruiting for and coordinating various programs
  • Using Zoom and other digital communication technology
  • Solving problems and performing liaison activities in a professional setting
  • Coordinating activities requiring complex arrangements
  • Working knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in higher education

Ability To:

  • Work well with a diverse student and constituent base
  • Familiarity with and ability to explain College of Business career paths
  • Work with high level of discretion and autonomy and perform related duties as required

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

  • Ability to lift, carry and/or otherwise move up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to travel, and work nights and weekends as needed.
