Position Title: Test Engineer (Only W2)
Location: Auburn Hills Michigan - Hybrid
Duration: Long term contract
Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer / Quality Assurance (QA) / Test Specialist to ensure the quality and reliability of our products through comprehensive testing and validation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing engineering, familiarity with Windows 11 (Win11) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), and a proven track record in performing quality assurance activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure product quality and performance.
- Perform manual and automated testing across a range of platforms, including Windows 11 (Win11) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Identify, document, and report defects, track them through resolution, and verify fixes.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand requirements and ensure proper testing coverage.
- Participate in code reviews and provide feedback related to testability and quality.
- Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on product quality, stability, and performance.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies to enhance product quality and team efficiency.
- Assist in troubleshooting and reproducing issues in different environments.
Qualifications:
- 5years of experience in the Testing Engineer / Quality Assurance / Test Specialist role.
- Strong familiarity with Windows 11 (Win11) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks is a plus.
- Experience in manual testing, defect tracking, and reporting using industry-standard tools.
- Knowledge of software development life cycles and Agile methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, or similar.
- Familiarity with scripting languages like Python, Shell, or Bash.
- Understanding of Continuous Integration (CI) / Continuous Deployment (CD) processes.
