WHO are we looking for?
CAPTRUST is offering a paid internship in our Boston, MA office that will provide exposure to the inner workings of a wealth management firm. The CAPTRUST internship program is project-based and educational in nature. Our overall goal is to provide interns with a broad overview of the investment management and wealth management industries and give them some exposure to the type of work such a career path entails. Interns will study fundamental investment terminology, asset allocation and diversification, and the impact of central bank policy on the capital markets. Interns will also conduct both micro and macro investment research and will evaluate sample clients from an estate and financial planning perspective. Interns are not considered access persons, and so information regarding the firm’s investments or clients is not shared.

- The vocabulary of investing: An understanding of investment terminology from stocks to bonds, hybrid securities, and other industry terms
- Exploration into macroeconomics and macro trends
- Overview of the financial planning process
- Overview of the estate planning process
- Capstone project: compare/contrast investing in two different markets, industries, or companies / financial/estate planning case study
- Additional responsibilities to be determined by your immediate supervisor and your assigned mentor
- In accordance with the 2025 Summer Internship Program
Minimum Qualifications:
