The Planning Analyst assists in managing one or more demand, inventory, supply and replenishment planning processes for their respective category within the Channel Supply Chain Planning team. This individual contributor role is responsible for using analytical techniques to create demand forecasts, and ensure inventory is available to meet company objectives. The Planning Analyst collaborates within the Channel Supply Chain team to create solutions for demand, inventory and supply issues while controlling costs and maintaining inventory availability.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Assist in the management of one or more demand, inventory, supply and replenishment planning processes for assigned product category.
Develop and implement demand plans for a category through analysis to drive supply and replenishment plans. Forecast at multiple levels including SKU, distribution center, and customer facing locations.
Develop and implement supply and replenishment plans for the category through analysis and collaboration with the Channel Supply Chain team to support demand and inventory plans that align with department Key Performance Indicators. Maintain the Channel Supply Chain relationship with suppliers through effective communication, collaboration, negotiation, and reporting.
Responsible for effective inventory utilization. Collaborate with business partners to develop plans that manage inventory investment, obsolescence, re-valuation and carrying costs, end customer service levels as well as ensuring accurate inventory accounting.
Work with accounts payable, purchasing, suppliers, accounting, and the distribution center to resolve purchase order, goods receipt, and invoice discrepancies to prevent credit holds, supply disruption, and reduce costs.
Responsible for creative solutions for problem solving within one or more demand, inventory, supply and replenishment planning processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills
- Strong organization and project management skills
- Ability to balance multiple responsibilities and reprioritize as needed
- Self-motivated and able to make timely quality decisions
- Ability to build relationships and work in a collaborative, cross functional environment
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Retail or Wireless Industry experience
- SAP (ECG/APO/IBP) experience or other advanced planning system
